Tragically, he was mortally wounded during a night of violent protests in St. Louis. Captain Dorn was very dedicated to youth, especially disadvantaged youth and wanted to see them succeed. John Patrick O’Neill (February 6, 1952 - September 11, 2001) served as Special Agent in Charge at the Federal Bureau of Investigation until his retirement in 2001, when he became Head of Security at the World Trade Center. Tragically, he was killed in the September 11th terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center in New York City while selflessly coordinating evacuation efforts.
