Employee Benefits

Health / Dental / Vision Insurance
Justice Federal offers a national network PPO health, dental, and vision insurance plan to employees. Employees are eligible on the first day of the month following their date of hire.

Flexible Spending Accounts
We offer both Health and Dependent Care accounts. By enrolling in one or both of these accounts, employees can pay for eligible, uninsured health and dependent care expenses with pre-tax dollars.

Life Insurance
Coverage is provided equaling twice an employee’s annual salary.

401K Plan
Our 401K plan was established to provide retirement benefits for employees. Justice Federal believes in making an investment in our employees. To prove it, we adopted a Safe Harbor 401K Plan with an established matching program. Employees are eligible to participate in the 401K at the beginning of the first day of the month, following six months of service.

PTO — Personal Time Off
This benefit is intended to provide maximum flexibility for the use of leave and may be used for any reasons such as vacation, illness, or personal time.

Education
Justice Federal supports its employees in gaining additional education through seminars and college degrees. Employees who have completed one year of service and are in good standing may be eligible for reimbursement of job or industry related classes.

Computer Loans
Employees who have been with Justice Federal at least six months may be eligible to apply for an interest free computer loan for the purchase of a home computer, equipment, software, and/or upgrades.

Business Development Officer

Justice Federal Credit Union seeks a Business Development Officer to develop business relationships with prospective and existing members. The selected individual will provide direction for the organization and make recommendations to management regarding business development strategies, products, and services. This position will be expected to travel in efforts to cover Justice entire membership area.

Duties for this position include:

  • • Fosters business development, including membership, loan, and deposit growth, in order to achieve annual growth targets set by senior management.
  • • Actively cultivates relationships, including sourcing new membership and expanding existing relationships, and represents the credit union to outside organizations such as local businesses, sponsor groups, vendors, other financial institutions, and similar groups, primarily through networking and personal contact.
  • • Enhances current and identifies new sponsorship opportunities for increasing credit union awareness within the field of membership area. Serves as the point of contact with sponsor organizations.
  • • Maintains excellent knowledge of products and services offered by the credit union and its competitors.
  • • Monitors financial industry trends and analyzes key data in order to develop recommendations for management regarding enhancements to products, pricing, and processes; cost efficiencies; and business development strategy.
  • • Provides support and acts as in assistance to retail channel supervisors as needed, especially concerning public relations, member compliant/grievance response activity, and collateral materials, including electronic media.
  • • Assists with the development of promotional strategies to meet business development goals.
  • • Source new business memberships and expand existing relationships to drive business deposit and loan volume, primarily through networking and personal contact.

Required Knowledge and Abilities:
  • • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field preferred.
  • • Two (2) to five (5) years of work experience with at least three (3) year’s specialized experience.
  • • Ability to work a flexible schedule including attending evening and weekend special events. Frequent travel is required.


Help Desk Specialist

Justice Federal Credit Union seeks a Help Desk Specialist to support the stable operation of the in-house computer network by diagnosing, resolving, and documenting hardware and software network problems in a timely and accurate fashion. The selected candidate will be responsible for providing end user training and support.

Duties for this position include:

  • • Provide technical assistance and training to end-users regarding the use of hardware or software via telephone, remote desktop or on-site support.
  • • Set up and remove users in Active Directory.
  • • Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot end user workstation hardware, software, networked peripheral devices, cabling, and networking hardware and software products.
  • • Receive and respond to incoming calls, pages, and/or e-mails regarding network connectivity problems.
  • • Responsible for performing jobs on daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly checklists and also documenting any procedural changes..
  • • Consult with users to determine best hardware and software configurations to meet user needs and requirement
  • • Maintain inventory of replacement parts and spare hardware necessary to respond to user problems.
  • • Maintain hardware maintenance schedule and perform periodic preventive maintenance on all Justice Federal hardware.

Required Knowledge and Abilities:
  • • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field or relevant experience
  • • One to Two years’ Microsoft network &/or desktop support experience preferred
  • • Certifications: A+ and or Network+ preferred


Internal Auditor

Justice Federal Credit Union seeks an Internal Auditor to plan and complete audits of all areas of the credit union in accordance with Generally Accepted Auditing Standards. This is a one-person internal audit operation. The selected individual will act as a compliance officer assuring observance with internal policies and external laws and regulations; ensure accurate and reliable information is produced by the credit union, and promote operational efficiencies with the goal of safeguarding the assets of the credit union.

Duties for this position include:

  • • Develop and execute an annual audit plan and employ a risk-based approach auditing.
  • • Analyze audit risks and assimilate audit areas by risk factor.
  • • Conduct periodic audits in accordance with Generally Accepted Auditing Standards.
  • • Complete individual internal control evaluations for areas audited. Analyze risk exposure of weaknesses identified.
  • • Perform/document related audit tests including sample selection tying to the financial statements.
  • • Document and summarize the results of the audit work performed.
  • • Summarize audit exceptions and determine corrective action required to prevent such exceptions in the future.
  • • Prepare recommendations to resolve the control weaknesses identified.
  • • Report the results of the audit to management and Supervisory Committee.
  • • Review that credit union policies and procedures are being followed.
  • • Conduct branch audits.
  • • Manage the performance of investigative matters concerning employees and/or members.
  • • Assess and determine the level of Audit involvement for each investigative matter and communicate this level of involvement with Credit Union management and Supervisory Committee.
  • • Obtain/prepare/maintain supporting documentation as requested and retain all work-papers.
  • • Provide assistance for the external CPA firm’s review.
  • • Provide assistance to NCUA with the annual examination and to any third party regarding outsourced reviews.
  • • Keep abreast of regulatory/industry changes.

Required Knowledge and Abilities:
  • • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • • A minimum of 3 years Internal Audit experience within a bank or credit union.
  • • Financial and operational internal audit experience is preferred.
  • • Demonstrated experience operating a one-person audit unit.
  • • Must be experienced with financial statements and operational audits.

Financial Services Representative

Justice Federal Credit Union seeks a Financial Services Representative to provide and promote a variety of services to assist members with account transactions, including opening new shares and loans, performing account maintenance, cross-selling credit union products and services, and processing teller transactions.

Duties for this position include:

  • • Identifying members’ needs and promoting quality service to membership, while adhering to credit union policies and procedures.
  • • Informing members about other credit union services and promoting applicable products/services.
  • • Identifying member needs and converting those needs into sales opportunities.
  • • Opening new accounts, researching account problems; setting up and disbursing loans.
  • • Processing daily account transactions, such as withdrawals, deposits, account transfers, allotments, Visa/JLOC advances and bank wires
  • • Conducting loan interviews; providing information that will both be beneficial to the member and the credit union.
  • • Maintaining security measures at all times, including but not limited to negotiable instruments, member information, and computer systems.
  • • Performing the duties of other positions as required this may include performing teller functions.

Required Knowledge and Abilities:
  • • Minimum of two years of credit union or banking experience is required. The selected candidate will show demonstrated skill in customer service, professionalism, and cash handling ability. Those with professional, positive attitudes are encouraged to apply.
