Employee Benefits

Health / Dental / Vision Insurance
Justice Federal offers a national network PPO health, dental, and vision insurance plan to employees. Employees are eligible on the first day of the month following their date of hire.

Flexible Spending Accounts
We offer both Health and Dependent Care accounts. By enrolling in one or both of these accounts, employees can pay for eligible, uninsured health and dependent care expenses with pre-tax dollars.

Life Insurance
Coverage is provided equaling twice an employee’s annual salary.

401K Plan
Our 401K plan was established to provide retirement benefits for employees. Justice Federal believes in making an investment in our employees. To prove it, we adopted a Safe Harbor 401K Plan with an established matching program. Employees are eligible to participate in the 401K at the beginning of the first day of the month, following six months of service.

PTO — Personal Time Off
This benefit is intended to provide maximum flexibility for the use of leave and may be used for any reasons such as vacation, illness, or personal time.

Education
Justice Federal supports its employees in gaining additional education through seminars and college degrees. Employees who have completed one year of service and are in good standing may be eligible for reimbursement of job or industry related classes.

Computer Loans
Employees who have been with Justice Federal at least six months may be eligible to apply for an interest free computer loan for the purchase of a home computer, equipment, software, and/or upgrades.

Consumer Loan Processor

Justice Federal Credit Union, a full service credit union serving the Justice, Law Enforcement, and Homeland Security communities, seeks a full-time Consumer Loan Processor to process and disburse consumer loan products to Justice Federal Credit Union members.

Duties for this position include:

  • • Prepare consumer loan packages for underwriting in a prompt and accurate manner to ensure timely processing.
  • • Obtain additional documentation/information when required by underwriter to complete loan package.
  • • Analyze financial information to identify additional loan/share opportunities for cross-selling.
  • • Disburse loans per underwriting guidelines/instructions.
  • • Perform daily follow-up on pending loans through written and/or oral communication.

Required Knowledge and Abilities:
  • • Two years of credit union and/or other related financial experience desired.
  • • Consumer loan processing experience


Programming Supervisor

Justice Federal Credit Union seeks a Programming Supervisor to code, test, debug; implement and upgrade software applications in accordance with set policies and procedures. Selected candidate will assist with interviewing and training new employees; career development and training of employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance in a timely manner, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems

Duties for this position include:

  • • Assists in managing employees in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
  • • Develop, implement and maintain application software according to established standards and specifications using approved programming languages & databases and coding practices.
  • • Develop software solutions for our core banking system, online and mobile banking platforms.
  • • Establishes responsive support channels and resources to address end-user requests and concerns
  • • Participate in the design and selection of application software.
  • • Implements projects in accordance with project management templates, system standards, policies and procedures and overall information security and integrity including adherence to compliance and regulatory requirements for new products and services as well as enhancement on existing services.
  • • Partners with AVP of eServices to develop and administer annual budgets and project plans consistent with the organization’s strategic goals and business plans

Required Knowledge and Abilities:
  • • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Sciences or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • • Minimum of five years progressively responsible experience in financial institutions dealing with member service and back office system functions.
  • • One year previous supervisory experience preferred
  • • 8+ years programming experience including database management
  • • Symitar (Episys) Repgen/PowerOn or other Credit Union Core programming experience highly desirable.
  • • Proficiency in one or more of the following: JAVA, VB.Net, C#, C/C++, or VBA


Mortgage Counselor

Justice Federal Credit Union seeks a Mortgage Counselor to process first mortgage applications. Responsibilities include loan origination, processing and loan closings.

Duties for this position include:

  • • Interviews members applying for first mortgages
  • • Accepts telephone inquiries from members on mortgage products and other credit union products and services
  • • Assists members complete mortgage applications
  • • Processes and closes first mortgage applications to include: ordering credit reports, ordering appraisal, ordering title search, requesting verification of deposit, employment and other information deemed necessary to make an underwriting decision, prepare closing package and disbursement of funds
  • • Ensures prompt follow-up on requested documentation to guarantee timely underwriting decisions
  • • Prepares loan packages for underwriting
  • • Helps coordinate loan closings, prepare loan closing packages and performs post-closing audits
  • • Ensures compliance with federally regulated disclosure requirements
  • • Assists in the servicing of mortgage loans and escrow accounts

Required Knowledge and Abilities:
  • • Associate degree or equivalent mortgage industry experience required
  • • Minimum of three (3) year of credit union and or other related financial experience desired
  • • Minimum of two (2) year of mortgage experience desired


Training Specialist

Justice Federal Credit Union seeks a Training Specialist to initiate, design, coordinate, and facilitate New Hire Orientation Training, manage the Knowledge Based Performance Program, and assist the Training Manager with needs assessment, training development, training facilitation, and training evaluation.

Duties for this position include:

  • • Coordinate, and facilitate New Hire Orientation training.
  • • Provide developmental and/or remedial employee training where needed.
  • • Under the supervision of the Training Manage, write and maintain New Hire Orientation training materials to ensure that all information is current.
  • • Maintain training records during New Hire Orientation and communicate the progress of all participants to their supervising managers.
  • • Coordinate and facilitate Knowledge Based Performance programs.
  • • Write, maintain, and update all Knowledge Based Performance training materials to ensure that all information is current with credit union policies and procedures.
  • • Coordinate the scheduling, technology usage and participation for Knowledge Based Performance. Oversee and ensure compliance with KBP policies for all participants.
  • • Maintain training records for all employees enrolled in the Knowledge Based Performance program ensuring accuracy at all times.
  • • Develop and maintain a detailed method to ensure that a high level of knowledge learned is used on the job. Manage the program, following Knowledge Based Performance policies.
  • • Assist with employee relations programs in the Human Resources Department.

Required Knowledge and Abilities:
  • • Minimum of 2 year of Credit Union or banking experience required.
  • • Member service experience highly desired.
  • • Previous training experience desired.
  • • Symitar knowledge desired.


Equity Loan Processor

Justice Federal Credit Union seeks a Equity Loan Processor to process new Home Equity Lines of Credit and Fixed Equity Loan applications. Responsibilities also include preparing regulatory required loan disclosures, completing loan closing documents and funding loans.

Duties for this position include:

  • • Establish contact with members seeking home equity loans and responded to questions concerning the equity loan process
  • • Evaluate and review initial loan applications and all supporting documentation to determine accuracy and completeness
  • • Order property valuation, flood certification, property and judgment reports and other necessary documents to establish the basis for loans. Evaluate information received to ensure that it complied with established criteria and thresholds
  • • Notify members of final loan decisions. Coordinate and arrange for closing.
  • • Act as liaison with appraisal vendors to ensure compliance with Federal National Mortgage Association (FNMA) appraisals
  • • Responsible for processing 80/10/10 loans and simultaneous closing loans
  • • Reviewed financials and submit fully documented files to UW for approval
  • • Performed Quality Assurance check on assigned files in order to ensure files are complete, accurate and conform to internal policies and external regulatory guidelines.

Required Knowledge and Abilities:
  • • 2 year Degree Preferred (prior equity processing experience will be considered)
  • • 2-4 years of in depth Home Equity Lending experience REQUIRED
  • • Extensive knowledge of TILA-RESPA Final Rules
  • • Must be licensed or be able to obtain licensing from NMLS


Internal Auditor

Justice Federal Credit Union seeks an Internal Auditor to plan and complete audits of all areas of the credit union in accordance with Generally Accepted Auditing Standards. This is a one-person internal audit operation. The selected individual will act as a compliance officer assuring observance with internal policies and external laws and regulations; ensure accurate and reliable information is produced by the credit union, and promote operational efficiencies with the goal of safeguarding the assets of the credit union.

Duties for this position include:

  • • Develop and execute an annual audit plan and employ a risk-based approach auditing.
  • • Analyze audit risks and assimilate audit areas by risk factor.
  • • Conduct periodic audits in accordance with Generally Accepted Auditing Standards.
  • • Complete individual internal control evaluations for areas audited. Analyze risk exposure of weaknesses identified.
  • • Perform/document related audit tests including sample selection tying to the financial statements.
  • • Document and summarize the results of the audit work performed.
  • • Summarize audit exceptions and determine corrective action required to prevent such exceptions in the future.
  • • Prepare recommendations to resolve the control weaknesses identified.
  • • Report the results of the audit to management and Supervisory Committee.
  • • Review that credit union policies and procedures are being followed.
  • • Conduct branch audits.
  • • Manage the performance of investigative matters concerning employees and/or members.
  • • Assess and determine the level of Audit involvement for each investigative matter and communicate this level of involvement with Credit Union management and Supervisory Committee.
  • • Obtain/prepare/maintain supporting documentation as requested and retain all work-papers.
  • • Provide assistance for the external CPA firm’s review.
  • • Provide assistance to NCUA with the annual examination and to any third party regarding outsourced reviews.
  • • Keep abreast of regulatory/industry changes.

Required Knowledge and Abilities:
  • • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • • A minimum of 3 years Internal Audit experience within a bank or credit union.
  • • Financial and operational internal audit experience is preferred.
  • • Demonstrated experience operating a one-person audit unit.
  • • Must be experienced with financial statements and operational audits.

Regional Financial Services Representative

Justice Federal Credit Union seeks a Regional Financial Services Representative to travel to various branches to provide and promote a variety of services to assist members with account transactions, including opening new shares and loans, performing account maintenance, cross-selling credit union products and services, and processing teller transactions. Must be able to secure multiple clearances in order to gain access to the various branches.

Duties for this position include:

  • • Identifies members’ needs and promoting quality service to membership, while adhering to credit union policies and procedures.
  • • Informs members about other credit union services and promoting applicable products/services.
  • • Identifies member needs and converting those needs into sales opportunities.
  • • Opening new accounts, researching account problems; setting up and disbursing loans.
  • • Processes daily account transactions, such as withdrawals, deposits, account transfers, allotments, Visa/JLOC advances and bank wires.
  • • Conducts loan interviews; providing information that will both be beneficial to the member and the credit union.
  • • Maintains security measures at all times, including but not limited to negotiable instruments, member information, and computer systems.

Required Knowledge and Abilities:

Communications Services Representative

Justice Federal Credit Union seeks a Communications Services Representative to deliver professional service while providing product and service support through telephone interaction. The selected candidate will respond to questions, process transactions, and assist members and potential members in understanding and utilizing Credit Union products and services.

Duties for this position include:

  • • Promote quality service to membership while adhering to credit union guidelines and procedures.
  • • Process member requests to include but not limited to withdrawals, transfers, and account openings via the telephone.
  • • Assist members and resolve issues with accounts, loans, and other Justice FCU products and services.
  • • Provide detailed information by phone, fax, mail, or Internet concerning credit union products and services.
  • • Conduct loan interviews, gather information for loan decisions, and enter data into on-line loan system.
  • • Actively cross-sell all credit union products and services.

Required Knowledge and Abilities:
  • • One or more years of call center, customer service, banking, or credit union experience.
  • • Outstanding customer relation skills.
  • • Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
  • • Knowledge of banking or credit union products and services, preferred.

Financial Services Representative

Justice Federal Credit Union seeks a Financial Services Representative to provide and promote a variety of services to assist members with account transactions, including opening new shares and loans, performing account maintenance, cross-selling credit union products and services, and processing teller transactions.

Duties for this position include:

Duties for this position include:

  • • Represents the Credit Union in a courteous, professional manner. Provides prompt, efficient and accurate service in processing transactions
  • • Attains and maintains knowledge of all Credit Union services to support cross-selling to all members
  • • Provides quality service while adhering to policies and procedures
  • • Is accountable for maintaining security measures at all times, including but not limited to negotiable instruments, member information, and computer system
  • • Completes transactions in a timely, accurate and courteous manner
  • • Balances teller drawer each day
  • • Makes management aware of information concerning suspicious accounts

Required Knowledge and Abilities:
  • • Minimum of 1 years if cash handling, customer service, or credit union/banking experience preferred
